Sue Schweitzer

My work is built around interweaving form, fluidity and space. My textures are developed in layers to carry the visual experience inward. Cultural influences from travels abroad often play a role in my artwork. The raw clay body interacts with the flame, leaving its mark in a soda-firing. In addition, I’m researching glaze chemistry and taking my work into electric firings with atmospheric effects.
