Kat Corrigan – Site 2
I am a visual artist who is constantly caught by the contrast of light and dark, whether it is the gleam of an eye as an otter flashes by, or the last wink of the sun as it dissolves into evening. What I see in the world, I pull out in my paintings. Using heavy body acrylics in a limited pallet of five colors on black, my focus is on the light in my images. I am always working to show how light and dark make the world visible. That dog's ear and the way the light shines from it is as important to me as the ripples in the water of this great northern lake.
