Leslie Boyle-Milroy
I make watercolor and ink illustrations that try to bottle up the spirit of a place—capturing Twin Cities landmarks (from the classic to the quirky), quiet nature scenes, and moments of wonder and delight from travels through Japan, Spain, Italy, India, and beyond. With a background in psychotherapy and landscape design, I’m equally interested in what places look like, how they feel, and the delightful people (or odd little details and snippets of unexpected conversation) you might find there. I also love to dabble in mixed media collage, mapmaking, acrylics, and repurposed painted furniture. My collection includes original paintings, prints, cards, and postcards—each piece a small, sincere attempt to capture a memory, a mood, or just a really good tree.
