The League of Longfellow Artists (LoLa) invites local artists to participate in the 2022 LoLa Art Crawl,, September 17–18, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration deadline is June 18.
Artists who live and/or work in greater Longfellow*, and past LoLa artists wherever they now live are encouraged to register and participate in the crawl; invited guests hosted by registered Longfellow artists may also participate. (*Greater Longfellow includes the four neighborhoods of Longfellow, Cooper, Howe, and Hiawatha.)
Art crawl participants set up in their own Longfellow-based locations, such as their backyard or home, art studio, organization, or a business that they own or work at. They are expected to be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, during which time they may showcase and sell their work, do demonstrations, or coordinate other arts-related activities.
Groups of artists in a shared location are welcome and encouraged—please make sure that all participants register and pay. Registration fees are the foundation of the crawl’s budget.
LoLa will promote the weekend in several ways, including posters, postcards, and a print directory and map, which artists will be expected to help distribute. Our publicity volunteers will send out calendar notices and press releases to local media and neighborhood organizations. We will also purchase advertising as funds allow. Sites will be provided with colorful LoLa Art Crawl signs to let visitors know they are part of the event.
LoLa has organized an annual art crawl since 2009, skipping 2020 because of COVID. In 2021, we held a limited event called the LoLa Artists Weekend.
Registration is $35 for LoLa artists and $40 for guest artists. Deadline to register is June 18.
